Participant agreement
How a Hava session works.
Not a contract so much as a shared understanding — what you can expect from us, what we ask of each other, and what you never have to do.

What Hava is, and what it is not
Hava is a creative wellbeing experience. It is not therapy, counselling or clinical treatment, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Nobody in the room is acting as a therapist.
If you are working through something difficult, you are welcome here — but please don’t come to Hava expecting it to do the work that a professional would do.
You set the pace
You are invited to explore your creativity at your own pace. There is no standard to meet, no outcome you are working towards, and nothing you have to finish.
You never have to share anything personal, and you never have to explain your artwork.
What we all agree to
These apply to everyone in the room, including us:
- Nobody has to share their artwork.
- Nobody has to discuss personal experiences.
- Nobody judges anyone else’s work.
- What is said in the room stays in the room.
- Anyone can take a break, step outside, or sit quietly, at any point, without explaining why.
What we promise you
We will not interpret your artwork or tell you what it “means”. This matters more than any other line on this page.
Hava exists to facilitate creative exploration, not to analyse the people doing it. Whatever you make is yours, and it does not have to be read as a window into anything.
If something feels difficult
Creating can bring things to the surface unexpectedly. If that happens, you can pause, step outside, or simply stop — and you will not be asked to explain yourself.
We will offer you space rather than questions. If you would like a quiet moment, say so, or don’t: leaving the room is enough.
Who can come
Hava sessions are designed for women aged 18 and over. Anyone under 18 is welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Marketing consent
Whatever you make at a Hava session is yours. You take it home, and we make no claim over it.
We sometimes photograph sessions so that we can show what Hava looks like. Nothing that identifies you — your name, your face, or your work shown as yours — is published without asking you first. After a session we send a short email that asks two separate questions: whether we may use your first name, and whether we may share a photograph. Both are optional, and answering no to either changes nothing about your place at any future session.
If you would rather not appear in a photograph at all, tell us at the start of the session and we will work around you. You can also change your mind afterwards: email havaworkshops@gmail.com and we will stop using it.
Booking does not sign you up to anything. If you tick the mailing list box on the booking form we will send you occasional emails about upcoming sessions, and every one of them carries an unsubscribe link.
Agreeing to this
When you tick the box on the booking form, you are confirming you have read this page and are happy to hold the room this way for the people in it with you.
If anything here doesn’t sit right, or you’d like to talk something through before you book, please get in touch. We would much rather hear from you first.
